Ken Little, The First Retrowad (with a little help from my friends), 2017
Working over the years as an artist I have cycled through a number of ideas, formats, and images repeatedly. I make things with my hands and I look at them over a period of time. I “tune them” synesthetically. I make adjustments until they are right. Over the years the good ones continue to resonate with me. They “talk” to me. It’s an antique indulgence. It helps keep me centered and disciplined. It helps me find meaning. And, it’s really a lot of fun.
The First Retrowad is a retrospective and a wad. Some of the pieces or fragments that are included come from my works, as well works from some of my friends (Mr. Riley, Gloria Chapa, Robert Tatum, Cathy Cunningham Little, and a nod to Marcel Duchamp).
